Galinski, Heinz

Born in Marienburg, West Prussia, in 1922, trained as textile salesman, moved to Berlin, married in 1938, did forced labor in Berlin in 1940, deported to Auschwitz in 1943, transported to Buna/Monowitz concentration camp, death march in January 1945, liberated in April 1945 in Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, returned to Berlin, rebuilding of the Jewish community, chairman of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, died in 1992.
